Midnight's Symphony

The soft trickle of raindrops
And the whistling wind,
The buzz of the streetlamp
And the soft repetative click
Of footfalls in the night
Ringing throught the dark.
The swish of bat wings
And the swaying trees,
The rush of cars far away
And the rythm of a single heart
Beating calmly and softly
In the dark of midnight.
These are the sounds
Of the deepest night,
Midnight's Symphony.
